Our Story
RailScanPro was born from a real need: model railroaders deserved a modern, cloud-native platform for layout control and automation — not decades-old desktop software with flat data models.
Founded in 2025 by Winsit LLC, we made a fundamental architectural decision: instead of copying the list-based approach of legacy tools like TrainController, JMRI, or iTrain, we built RailCommand™ — a graph-first layout control engine that models your railroad as a directed graph. This unlocks capabilities legacy platforms architecturally cannot provide: automatic route computation, deadlock prediction, multi-user territory dispatch, drive-by-wire throttle, and AI-assisted operations.
Our team includes avid model railroaders who understand switchboard design, block detection, signaling logic, operations paperwork, and the satisfaction of watching a perfectly dispatched railroad run. We use RailCommand to run our own layouts.
